And I absolutely loved working with her. She knew how to pose me. I’m a big girl. I felt like a effing queen. And she said I guarantee I can get you in a magazine. She got me on the cover. I had a six page photos and an interview. I was the featured model. They had my insert on the content page with my words quoted and a headshot photo there. I’ve never had something so empowering in my life. So I booked her for an even more empowering photo shoot a year and a half later. We did a boudoir session. If I could work with her again, I would but right now I’m in Washington state. That first experience was my first ever experience, stepping in front of a camera outside of school picture day. I am so blessed to have had these experiences and I have never felt so sexy as the photos I posed for with Calista.
I loved it. I loved everything. This woman literally brought me to the forest and we did our entire photo shoot with the clothes I brought and then I asked her because I got curious if we could do a a little more risqué photo shoot. So I did it. I got naked. It was amazing. I got bit by so many mosquitoes, but it doesn’t reflect in the photos. Not only did we do three outfits, but we also photographed my bare self in the forest, cleverly and beautifully covered by pieces of the forest and what I mean by that is literally using leaves and cleverly hiding things. I have never trusted a photographer so much with me in that vulnerable state. If you ever need a photographer to do something like that with, this is the one.THE G O A T! I told myself I would never do artistic nudes before. I think that’s why I loved it so much. It was artistic. It was not sexualized at all. I felt like a work of art. I framed two photos in my bedroom. When I get old and gray, I’m gonna look back at the opportunity that I took to see how beautiful my body was in my youth. And the thing is, I’ve lost weight since, but I will always remember how beautiful I felt and still feel when I look at those photos even with more weight on my body. 15/10 would do it again in a heartbeat if I could get back to Virginia before she leaves! Yes, I pay attention and keep up with her TikTok. Girl you’re preparing for something. Keep at it! 🫶🏻
Calista is a joy to work with! From the photoshoot itself to editing of the photos, she is very professional and informative. Have no experience with posing? No problem! That is one of Calista's specialties. I absolutely recommend working with her!
You asked a bunch of us to come here to leave a review but honestly I am not sure how to do those. I enjoyed myself. I was really happy with what we did. I loved seeing myself in a magazine for the first time. We did that. I mean, she did really. I just did what she said and yeah. I mean, I got asked to work with some photogrpahers afterwards which was really cool. She does do some one of a kind work though. She got me in the forrest and kind of just said, pull a dress out this bag. This was a while ago, like just before covid. I grabbed a dress she said she made. She grabbed some handmade props. She did my makeup with heated colored pencils (new of course) and some new liner, it was wicked! Editorial for sure. Into the forrest we went. I was looking like a weird Goddess Fairy sort of. 4 weeks later I was a 6 page spread in Imirage Magazine. I guess that counts as a review so yeah, go work with her. Shes a load of fun. Also I did do some implied also, super fun.
